Under authorization from the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (USCIS), CPLC admits non-resident students who meet the admission requirements for INS-approved programs. Admission requirements are:
Completed handwritten CPLC Application Form Handwritten and
Signed statement of approximately 200 words stating their reason for wishing to enroll at CPLC (Statement of Professional Goals)
Evidence of high school and, if applicable, college education. Such evidence may include copies of the awards, diplomas, certificates, degrees or a notarized copy of high school transcript or academic record. Documents that are not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation.
Affidavit of support and other evidences of sufficient funds to pay for all educational and living expenses.
Upon compliance of admission requirements, an I-20 Visa also known as a Certificate of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant (F-1) Student Status for Academic and Language Students and/or Certificate of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant (M-1) Student Status for Vocational Students will be issued. The following section provides more information about admission for non-resident students.
High School Graduates
Proof of high school graduation, including:high school diploma;academic transcript;high school equivalency diploma or transcript.
College transcript stating that the basis of admission was high school graduation (and specifies the high school name and date of graduation) or attainment of a GE.
Interview with admissions staff and/or academic advisor
Entrance test (if necessary)
High school transcript request form so an official copy of academic records can be obtained.
Non-High School Graduates
Evidence of being out of school for at least one year
Other evidence (i.e., endorsement from unemployment program agencies, etc.)
Interview with admissions staff and/or academic advisor
